We feature songs from many of the biggest soul stars from the 1960s including Otis Redding (Hard To Handle), Wilson Pickett (In The Midnight Hour, Land Of 1000 Dances), Martha and the Vandellas (Dancing In The Street, Nowhere To Run), The Temptations (My Girl, Get Ready) and James Brown (I Got You (I Feel Good)) together with a few lesser known, but still solidly soulful, hits such as the Northern Soul floor-fillers Landslide (Tony Clarke) and Do I Love (Indeed I Do) (Frank Wilson) and the pop classic Proud Mary (Ike & Tina Turner).
With brilliant vocalists, sparkling horns and a solid rhythm section Soul Intention is a powerful pop combo that will get you moving to the beat and partying like it's 1969.
To give a flavour of our sound here is a selection of songs we recorded recently at Halfton Studios in Cambridge and then mixed ourselves.
